Karitane Blues Retreat 2019
Friday 15th to Monday 18th of February 2019
Duration: 4 days
Karitane, New Zealand
The Karitane Blues Retreat is returning in 2019! Four days of Blues dance classes and social dancing at the height of summer in one of New Zealand's most scenic locations.
This year Adamo and Vicci (all the way from Europe!) will be joining us to share their skills and knolwedge at our unique event.
With the same intimate format and homegrown vibe, KBR II will leave you rested, refreshed and ready for another year, building the community together.
**Applications close 14 September (first wave)**

Over three days participants will enjoy:
- 12 hours of social dancing – minimum!
- 10 hours of small, intensive workshops with teachers from near and far
- Quality small-group peer sessions
- Free time to unwind with new/old friends, chew over class material, or work in self-directed learning
- Fully catered meals (with various dietary options available)
- Picturesque accommodation (fully included with each pass)
As New Zealand’s only Blues-specific event, our team is committed to a quality experience for every participant. Our numbers are limited (36 applicants) to ensure that we retain the intimate experience of a retreat and support growing strong connections in the Blues community between dance scenes.
Note: this event is aimed at intermediate and advanced dancers. However, we have reserved a handful of spaces for beginner-intermediate dancers who come from emerging scenes with fewer opportunities to "level-up" (and who meet our other criteria).
